In a new cover story with Vogue published Tuesday, May 20, the Rhode Beauty founder, 28, revealed how the “Positions” singer, 31, inspired her to not “invite it in anymore” after Grande received harsh criticism due to her weight loss while filming Wicked.

“It was so true to me when she said that. I am in a space where I just don’t accept it. I don’t allow it anymore. We don’t have to allow those things into our space if we don’t want to,” Bieber told Vogue.

The model, who married Justin Bieber in 2018, also weighed in on how online trolls talking about her relationship with the 31-year-old “Baby” singer can sometimes weigh heavy on her.

“It’s not real,” Hailey said of rumors, adding that there’s no problems in their marriage.

“And that’s the thing: I have a real life. My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them.”

She and Justin announced the birth of their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, on Aug. 23, 2024.

Hailey shared that therapy has helped along the way, adding, “Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult.”

“And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced and They’re this and They’re not happy’: It is such a mindf—. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live,” she said.

During her interview, Hailey said she’s surprised that “seven years in” people still have negative things to say.

“You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no,” Hailey continued. “So I guess these b—— are going to be mad.”

After her Vogue cover was released on Tuesday, Justin celebrated his wife’s accomplishment via Instagram. He later edited his caption after facing backlash for his choice of words.

“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,” his original caption began. “I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue. Yikes I know, so mean.”

After discussing “intimacy and connection,” the “Sorry” singer concluded, “So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken.”
