Never-Before-Seen! Meghan Markle Reveals Private Photos of Archie & Lilibet for This Heartfelt Reason
Meghan and Prince Harry are “fiercely protective of their children”—but are letting up for a good reason.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, like other celebrities, have been keeping images of their two children, Archie and Lilibet, very sparse online—but with the launch of Markle’s personal Instagram, the duchess has been giving additional glimpses of her brood, much to the delight of royals observers. Markle’s reason for posting her and Harry’s children, however, isn’t just for fans—it actually gives her agency in their protection from the media.
Royal expert Jennie Bond explained in an interview with the Mirror that Markle and Harry might be showing more photos of their children in order to have control of the narrative and their image instead of the paparazzi.

“They are clearly fiercely protective of their children. And I think much of that stems from Harry’s experience of having cameras trained on him when he was a little boy – and ever since,” Bond told the outlet. “He showed his contempt for the cameras when he was very young, sticking his tongue out, as he sat in the back of a car with his mother. She told him to stop it very quickly!”
Bond continued, “Of course, seeing only glimpses of them makes them even more interesting to the public. And it brings extra attention to whichever video they appear in, which is commercially valuable. Sooner or later, they are bound to release pictures of the children. Otherwise, there’s a real danger that paparazzi will follow them until they get what they want – in the hope that a newspaper or magazine somewhere in the world will buy the pictures.”

Until then, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will continue to keep Archie and Lilibet out of the limelight and will keep their lives as normal as possible for their safety. “I think every parent wants to share their kid with the world, but they just can’t,” a family friend told Us Weekly back in August 2024. “William’s kids, for example, have way more safety, even though they’re recognizable. And the same doesn’t apply to Meghan and Harry’s children. They know the world wants to see [them, but] I would expect them to live smaller lives until that gets sorted, if it ever does.”
