The Milwaukee Bucks franchise had some of the NBA’s most iconic players suit up for them over their storied history which is headlined by a pair of NBA championships in 1971 and 2021.

Here, we take a look at all the players who were named to the First-Team All-NBA while playing for Milwaukee.

Giannis Antetokounmpo – 7 times (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)

Antetokounmpo is firmly established as one of the best players in the NBA right now and has earned that respect for the better part of a decade. Being named as a First Team All-NBA performer for seven consecutive seasons certainly underlines that notion. A nine-time All-Star and nine-time All-NBA member, Antetokounmpo played a vital role in the Bucks’ title run in the 2020-21 campaign. The star forward has also finished in the Top 5 in the MVP voting in each of the last seven seasons, a stretch in which he’s also racked up seven All-Star nods and four berths in the All-Defensive Team. During that seven-season stretch, Antetokounmpo has averaged 29.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game across 466 regular-season contests.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – 4 times (1971, 1972, 1973, 1974)

Abdul-Jabbar had one of the most decorated individual careers in the NBA, being a 19-time All-Star, 15-time All-NBA, six-time MVP winner and six-time First Team All-NBA member. He earned four of those First Team All-NBA nods while playing for the Bucks between the 1970-71 and 1973-74 seasons. Three of those four First Team All-NBA nods with Milwaukee also saw him win the MVP award (1971, 1972 and 1974). He’d later join the Lakers and would win three more MVP awards while being a key part of the “Showtime Lakers” alongside Magic Johnson. Abdul-Jabbar played six years in Milwaukee and averaged 30.4 points, 15.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 3.4 blocks and 1.2 steals per game across 467 regular-season contests.

Marques Johnson – 1 time (1979)

Johnson earned the lone First Team All-NBA berth of his career in the 1978-79 season, his second year in the NBA and a campaign in which he was also named to the All-Star Game after averaging a career-high 25.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. Johnson would earn two more All-NBA nods (both in the 2nd-Team All-NBA) and four other All-Star berths. After departing Milwaukee at the end of the 1983-84 campaign, he played three seasons with the Clippers and one with the Warriors before retiring at the end of the 1989-90 campaign.

Sidney Moncrief – 1 time (1983)

Moncrief played the first 10 years of his career with the Bucks, and while he retired at the end of the 1988-89 season, he returned to play one more year in the 1990-91 campaign as a member of the Atlanta Hawks before calling it a career for good. Moncrief had the best season of his career in the 1982-83 season, averaging 22.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game while earning the lone First Team All-NBA nod of his career. Moncrief earned five All-NBA nods throughout his career, and all of them came in five straight seasons between 1981-82 and 1985-86. He was also named to the All-Star Game in those five campaigns.
