Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark began her 2025 WNBA season with a triple-double in her team’s 93-58 rout of the Chicago Sky Saturday.
During the game, Clark was called for a flagrant foul after a hard foul on her rival, Reese.
The star Sky center was angry with the foul by Clark and had to be held back from attacking her.
Unfortunately, things only got worse for Reese.
There were alleged racial comments from a fan or multiple fans directed toward the Sky star. It’s unclear when the comments occurred during the Fever’s 93-58 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The WNBA is looking into it as a result. On Sunday, the league released this statement regarding fan comments: “The WNBA strongly condemns racism, hate, and discrimination in all forms — they have no place in our league or in society. We are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter.”

The Fever said in a statement that they’re “working closely with the WNBA” regarding the investigation and that they “stand firm in our commitment to providing a safe environment for all WNBA players.”
