She called her birthday an “extremely historic” moment and said she was happy to be surrounded by friends for the occasion.
To celebrate, Shimkus’s colleagues treated her to a beautiful white cake from Magnolia Bakery, a popular chain started in New York City.
To Skimkus’s surprise, her friends and even guests at a diner in Manassas, Virginia came together to sing her “Happy Birthday” in a live feed.
Fans on social media also wanted to congratulate Shimkus on the big day.
“Happy birthday Carley!!! Have fun shoe shopping today!” one user tweeted.
“Happy birthday #CarleyShimkus! You light up every room you enter,” another wrote.
“@CarleyShimkus, we like everyone at Fox, but Carley is our favorite!!,” a third posted.

Shimkus has been a staple on Fox News for years, even before she became an anchor on the popular Fox & Friends First program.
She joined the company as a production assistant in 2009 and later became a producer before taking her seat as an anchor.
Now she has become a fan-favorite as she sits alongside co-host Todd Piro to discuss topical trends and the latest breaking news regularly.
She also often appears on the Fox & Friends morning show.
Throughout her career with Fox, Shimkus has worked as a reporter for Fox News Headlines 24/7, co-host for Fox Nation, and co-host for Countdown to All-American New Year.
Shimkus recently became an author too.
She wrote a cookbook featuring meal ideas from around the world in a first for the Fox News publishing company.
And not only Shimkus’s recipes are in the book — it also includes favorite dishes from other Fox & Friends co-hosts and guests.
