Campaigns for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry to team up has been around since the Golden State Warriors star’s last championship but the chances of that happening is low. For now.

Fans who want to see them together can find solace on their team up not as basketball players but as advocate of more female supports.

Unrivaled has announced that they have a new investor in Stephen Curry, joining the Milwaukee Bucks star and other big names in sports industry.

“I am incredibly proud to join the Unrivaled family as the league continues to set a new standard for how women’s professional sports should operate — empowering athletes and ensuring they have a real stake in their own success,” Curry said in a statement.

“Unrivaled is not just innovating the way we play basketball, but also how we value and invest in the athletes who drive the game forward.”

Other investors are retired NBA star Carmelo Anthony, soccer star Alex Morgan, and Olympic great Michael Phelps.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s support for women sports

He may not talk about it a lot but Antetokounmpo has been a very vocal supporter of the minorities and women in sports.

Unrivaled is not the only venture focused on minorities he is supporting. He and his brothers are also investors at Build Your Legacy (BYL) Ventures which according to a press release is a a company that “focuses on investments in sports and entertainment, driven by the Antetokounmpo family’s dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.”

“I’m incredibly energized to launch BYL Ventures as a way to give back and support the next generation of visionaries,” he said during the launch of the business in November last year.

“This fund is not just about capital; it’s about forging partnerships and opening my network to accelerate the growth trajectory for companies. I want to help other entrepreneurs, especially those who have faced barriers, to grow and succeed. BYL Ventures will be focused on finding people with big dreams and helping them make those dreams a reality.”
