For Six Years, Christopher Rich Portrayed Brock Hart On The TV Sitcom Reba
His character was Reba McEntire’s ex-husband and the eventual husband of Melissa Peterman’s character, Barbra Jean.

They acted in over 120 episodes together, a rarity in television. Off-screen, they have all remained great friends, and it’s clear that fans have loved to see them reunite over the years. In October of 2023, the Reba cast nearly broke the Internet when five members of the cast came together for a special reason.
McEntire, Peterman, Steve Howey (Van), JoAnna Garcia-Swisher (Cheyenne), and Rich all had dinner to celebrate Rich’s 70th birthday.

Everyone Loves A Reba Reunion
In early 2024, it was announced that McEntire and Peterman would reunite on screen again in a sitcom titled Happy’s Place. They are joined by McEntire’s real-life boyfriend Rex Linn, and fellow actors Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk.

Happy’s Place is named after the bar where the show takes place. It was once owned by an older gentleman named Happy. The sitcom starts after he passed away and left the bar to his daughter Bobbie, played by McEntire. As the will is being sorted out by Happy’s lawyer, Bobbie finds out she has a much younger half-sister, Isabella (Escobedo), and half the bar was left to her. As they navigate their new relationship as business partners and sisters, they are helped by cook Emmett (Linn), bartender Gabby (Peterman), waiter Takoda (Black Elk), and accountant Steve (Castelblanco).
Aside from the weekly Reba reunion we get thanks to Peterman and McEntire, we also got one in their Christmas episode when Steve Howey guest starred as a customer who spends the day at the bar to see if he wants to throw his company party at Happy’s Place.
Howey couldn’t help himself during his first take and he made a Reba joke. After his first interaction with Bobbie, he says, “Mrs. H?!” which is what his character Van lovingly called her on Reba. Peterman ran in and made the outtake even funnier by saying she’d been in Witness Protection! Watch it below.
In another episode, Peterman and McEntire broke out into “Survivor,” the Reba show’s theme song.
Happy’s Place had another Reba reunion on Friday, February 21 when Christopher Rich made an appearance as a tattoo artist named Maverick.
Rich had a debilitating stroke seven years ago, which was written into the script. He normally walks with a cane but used his limp as a comedy tool in the show, showing just how unsteady the left side of his body was, making Bobbie nervous since she was going to get a tattoo from him!
Maverick assured Bobbie he was right-handed and that he still is a great tattoo artist.
Before they perfected the take in the video above, Rich, Peterman, and McEntire had some fun with the audience.
NBC shared a clip on their Instagram of Bobbie and Gabby cleaning up the bar when they hear a knock on the door. Bobbie tells Gabby to tell whoever it is that they are closed. Low and behold, it’s Rich! He says, “Barbra Jean? Reba? I found you guys! I should’ve known.”
Peterman, without skipping a beat yells, “Reba! Brock found us! Run!”
The audience burst out in laughter as the actresses ran off set. The trio earned themselves a well-deserved standing ovation huge applause for the bit they came up with. Watch the hysterical moment below.
