Novak Djokovic’s wife Jelena reacted to the Serb breaking multiple records at the 2025 Australian Open, ousting Jaime Faria in three sets to advance to the third round. Djokovic came fresh off an impressive 2024 season, winning his Olympic gold to achieve a Career Golden Slam.
Headed to his 25th Grand Slam win at the 2024 Australian Open, the Serb faced a loss to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, thus ending his bid. However, he returned to the 2025 edition for another run, defeating US player Nishesh Basavareddy and Jaime Faria of Portugal.

Novak Djokovic touched down in Melbourne with his family, wife Jelena, son Stefan, and daughter Tara for his 25th Grand Slam-win run at the Australian Open. Before taking the court, he helped his daughter surf in a video posted on X.
Shedding light on his experience, he shared his views about the sport, saying in his post-match interview:
“I didn’t want to risk it, to be honest. I mean, it looks like a controlled environment, you know, a really nice facility, so hopefully, yeah, going to go deep in the tournament, and after I’m done, maybe I’ll give it a try. My son and my wife did a great job.
My daughter, she was a little bit overwhelmed with the size of the waves, I mean, from her perspective, so I had to give her emotional support. I was there for that. And, yeah, it was amazing to spend some quality time with my family.”
The Serb, widely regarded as the most decorated tennis player on the tour, held the World No. 1 position for 428 weeks. His stellar resume includes 10 Australian Open, seven Wimbledon, four US Open, and three French Open titles, the most for a player in history. The 37-year-old became the only man to achieve a triple career Grand Slam and two career Golden Masters.
