The tension escalated after a June 13 incident in Utah County, when Kelley was detained by sheriffs and placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold under California’s 5150 law. According to court records, Kelley allegedly attempted to take the children out of the country and exhibited behavior that led to her hospitalization for emergency mental health evaluation.

Kelley later confirmed her involuntary 5150 hold, which, as explained by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is used when someone is considered a danger to themselves or others due to a mental disorder.

Then, on July 6, Kelley was placed on a second involuntary psychiatric hold following an incident involving an alleged knife. She spent a week at a treatment center in Salt Lake City.

Financial and Housing Arrangements

The agreement also addresses the couple’s finances and living situation. Scott will maintain exclusive use of the family’s Park City home. Kelley’s parenting time may take place there, but only with mutual agreement on a supervisor; otherwise, she is not permitted to enter the property.

Financially, Scott retains control of marital funds, covering household expenses and providing Kelley with $10,000 per month for living costs, subject to further court orders. He will also cover her car payments, minimum credit card payments, and some attorney fees.
